One Dead After Car Crashes into Trees in Fairfax Co.
Late on Tuesday Night, a 46-year-old Johanshad was driving his 2010 Nissan Altima through Burke in Fairfax County when his car left the road and crashed into a small line of trees. The Fairfax County Police have issued a statement on the crash indicating that, while no other vehicles or individuals were involved in the accident, the force of the collision caused fatal injuries to Johanshad and that he died before the ambulance team could transport him to a hospital.
Additional information in this case was available, although an investigation into the accident is ongoing while the authorities attempt to discover exactly what happened to cause Johanshad to lose control of his vehicle and leave the roadway.
The events as they happened are as follows:
Johanshad was driving northbound along Fairfax County Parkway, close to where the parkway intersects with Waterline Drive, when he began to make a left turn off of the parkway. The Fairfax County Police report did not clarify whether or not Johanshad was trying to turn onto Waterline Drive or if he was turning elsewhere. Initially, Johanshad was able to pull the vehicle back from off the left side of the road, however his attempts to correct his course only wound up making him veer across the asphalt and over the right side of the road. It was here that he collided with the twos trees that killed him.
Emergency teams were dispatched to the location of the accident and worked to extricate Johanshad from the Nissan, but, as mentioned above, the injuries he sustained were beyond treatment and he was declared dead at the scene.
At the time of this writing, an investigation is still ongoing into the causes of this particular accident. The Fairfax County Police have claimed that they have reason to believe that excessive speed contributed to the crash, however it is still unclear whether or not any alcohol or other drugs contributed to the circumstances that cost the 46-year-old his life. Updates will be provided as more details around the case emerge, and we can hope to have a more clear picture of the events within the next few days.
