A car accident that took place last summer has finally reached the sentencing phase after police with the Alexandria Police Department concluded their investigation into the accident’s surrounding details. According to the official report, Vasquez, a 27-year-old resident of Fairfax County, was convicted on several accounts of aggravated manslaughter. It is believed that both of these accounts relate to the fact that Vasquez was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
An investigation into a crash that happened last Friday night has led police in the towns of Reston and Sterling to discover the identity of the individual from Herndon who died in the incident. According to reports from the police, the crash took place late in the evening, and involved at least two vehicles. One of these vehicles was parked along the 700 block of Colonial Avenue. The second vehicle, being driven by the 39-year-old Herndon resident Rivera, had turned down the road in his 1997 Dodge Ram when he lost control of the car.
Early on Saturday morning, Alexandria Police responded to an accident report along South Henry Street in Old Town. When they arrived, they discovered a badly damaged car near the road.
